The region is known for its chalk soils, which provide excellent drainage and allow the roots of the vines to reach deep into the earth for nutrients. The different terroirs, along with varying weather conditions, contribute to the wide range of flavours and styles of Champagne.
After visiting the vineyards, you’ll head to a small, family-run Champagne house. Here, you’ll learn about the traditional methods used to produce artisanal Champagnes.
