Reykjavik Sightseeing Tour
Spend your first day exploring the capital city’s iconic landmarks, such as the towering Hallgrímskirkja church, the visually captivating Harpa Concert Hall, and the symbolic Sun Voyager sculpture.
Hallgrímskirkja
Begin your city tour with a visit to Hallgrímskirkja, the largest and most iconic church in Iceland. This architectural masterpiece dominates the skyline of Reykjavik, offering panoramic views of the city from its observation deck.
Harpa Concert Hall
Next, explore the Harpa Concert Hall, an award-winning architectural gem situated on the harbor. This visually striking building is a cultural and social hub that hosts various events, including concerts, conferences, and art exhibitions.
Sun Voyager Sculpture
Continue to the Sun Voyager sculpture, a striking steel artwork that represents a dream boat and an ode to the sun. Set against the backdrop of the ocean and Mount Esja, this landmark is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike.
Optional Extra Destinations
Depending on the time and your interests, your driver-guide can take you to other popular attractions, such as the Perlan, the Old Harbor area, and the colorful streets of downtown Reykjavik.
Evening in Reykjavik and Overnight Stay
As the day turns to evening, savor the culinary delights of Icelandic cuisine and embrace Reykjavik’s lively nightlife. If you’re visiting during the right season, you may even catch a glimpse of the breathtaking Northern Lights.
Day 2: Private Superjeep Golden Circle & Langjökull Glacier

On day 2, we have a thrilling day of adventure planned, as you leave Reykjavik in a private Superjeep, heading into the heart of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders.
Thingvellir National Park
Begin your day at Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in history and dramatic beauty.
As you wander along the rift valley, you’ll literally walk between continents, the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates slowly drifting apart beneath your feet.
Pause to explore the site of the ancient Viking parliament, the Althing, founded in 930 AD. It’s a place where Iceland’s earliest settlers gathered to make laws and settle disputes.
Geysir Geothermal Area
Continue your adventure to the Geysir Geothermal Area, a bubbling, steaming landscape alive with geothermal energy.
Feel the heat radiate from the Earth as you stroll between mud pools and fumaroles, watching plumes of steam rise against the Icelandic sky. The highlight, of course, is the Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes, sending columns of boiling water and steam up to 30 meters high.
Gullfoss Waterfall
Your journey leads to Gullfoss, the “Golden Falls,” one of Iceland’s most breathtaking waterfalls.
Watch as the glacial waters of the Hvítá River plunge dramatically into a deep canyon, creating a thunderous roar and shimmering mist. On sunny days, rainbows often dance in the spray, adding a touch of magic to the already awe-inspiring scene.
Faxi Waterfall
Before heading into the highlands, stop at Faxi Waterfall, one of Iceland’s less commonly visited natural wonders found on the Tungufljót River.
Surrounded by gentle countryside and often free from crowds, Faxi offers a moment of calm reflection, a perfect counterpoint to the drama of Gullfoss.
Off-Road to Langjökull Glacier
The afternoon takes an exciting turn as your Superjeep leaves the paved road behind, climbing into the rugged wilderness en route to Langjökull Glacier, Iceland’s second-largest ice cap.
As you reach the glacier area, the landscape transforms into a world of shimmering white ice and vast silence. Depending on the season and conditions, your guide may take you up onto the glacier itself for a closer look at its crevasses and icy expanse — a rare and unforgettable experience.
Return to Reykjavik for the evening.
Day 3: Private Superjeep South Coast & Katla Ice Cave

Today you’ll travel by Superjeep on a journey that takes you along Iceland’s magnificent South Coast, a world of glaciers, volcanoes, and untamed beauty.
Katla Ice Cave Adventure
Depart early toward the volcanic heart of southern Iceland for a once-in-a-lifetime expedition beneath the Katla volcano.
Your Superjeep navigates rugged highland tracks leading to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, where the Katla Ice Cave awaits, a surreal world of frozen blue ice layered with volcanic ash from centuries of eruptions.
Step inside the shimmering tunnels carved by glacial meltwater and feel the deep stillness of this hidden world. Your expert glacier guide shares stories of Katla’s fiery power and the dynamic forces that continue to shape Iceland’s ever-evolving landscape.
Black Sand Beaches of Vík
Continue to Iceland’s southernmost village, Vík í Mýrdal, framed by dramatic cliffs and endless black sands.
Wander along Reynisfjara Beach, where the black volcanic sands meet the crashing waves of the Atlantic. The dramatic Reynisdrangar sea stacks tower from the surf, while the hexagonal basalt columns of Hálsanefshellir Cave form a breathtaking natural cathedral shaped by wind and ocean.
Bird Cliffs of Dyrhólaey
A short drive west brings you to Dyrhólaey, a promontory rising 120 meters above the sea.
The cliffs teem with birdlife in summer, including puffins nesting in the grass-topped ledges. From the viewing platform, take in breathtaking views of the sweeping coastline, the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, and the famous arch-shaped rock formation that gives Dyrhólaey its name.
Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss Waterfalls
Heading back along the South Coast, visit two of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls.
First, stand in awe of Skógafoss, a 60-meter cascade whose thunderous curtain of water often shimmers with rainbows. Climb the stairway beside the falls for a panoramic view across the plains and to the sea.
Then continue to Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the plunging water for a completely immersive perspective. Feel the cool mist on your face and listen to the rhythmic roar as the falls tumble from the cliffs of Eyjafjöll.
Eyjafjallajökull Views and Coastal Villages
As you travel through the region, enjoy views of the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano, which erupted in 2010 and captured global attention.
Pass through small coastal villages and rural settlements that offer a glimpse into everyday Icelandic life, turf-roofed homes, Icelandic horses grazing in fields, and distant mountains framed by the ever-changing light.
Arrive at your accommodation in or near Vík.
Day 4: Private Helicopter Tour – Inside the Volcano

Today’s exclusive adventure takes you deep inside the dormant Þríhnúkagígur volcano.
(Available from May 15th to October 15th)
Helicopter Ascent and Arrival at Þríhnúkagígur
Your pilot lifts off from Reykjavik, offering sweeping aerial views of the Reykjanes Peninsula’s volcanic landscapes. Jagged ridges, dormant cones, and distant plumes of geothermal steam unfold beneath you as you fly toward the isolated crater of Þríhnúkagígur, meaning “Three Peaks Crater.”
Landing near the volcano, you’ll step out into an otherworldly terrain of hardened lava and rust-colored slopes, where silence reigns and the air feels charged with geological energy.
Descent into the Magma Chamber
After a short safety briefing, begin your descent, 120 meters down into the volcano’s vast magma chamber, an immense cavern formed 4,000 years ago when the magma drained away.
The colors are extraordinary: ochres, reds, purples, and greens, each marking the movement of molten rock millennia ago. Standing on the chamber floor, you experience a profound sense of scale and stillness.
Your expert guide shares the story of how Þríhnúkagígur was discovered and preserved, transforming a violent relic of Earth’s past into a rare window into its fiery core.
Return Flight to Reykjavik
Emerging from the volcano, board your helicopter for the return journey.
The rest of the afternoon is free to relax, shop for local crafts, or dine at one of the city’s celebrated restaurants.
Day 5: Blue Lagoon & Departure

Your final day in Iceland offers a soothing contrast to the adventures before, a morning of tranquility and rejuvenation at the world-famous Blue Lagoon.
Nestled among black lava fields on the Reykjanes Peninsula, this geothermal spa is a place where nature and comfort converge in perfect harmony.
When ready, your driver transfers you to Keflavík International Airport for your onward flight.
