A Culinary Walking Tour of Rome
We begin our culinary tour at a typical Roman market stall in a small piazza near the Pantheon that has been run by the same family for 57 years. We will try the freshest seasonal fruit and vegetables, freshly made cheese, local bread, as well as taste the family’s olive oil and wine from the Roman hills.
Sampling the traditional dishes of Rome
You can take this opportunity to sample traditional Roman Supplì – deep-fried rice croquettes that are the closest thing to Roman-style street food, followed by traditional fried Roman Baccalà, loosely translated as salted cod. Trust us when we say it’s fun to say and even more fun to eat!
Further along, we will taste and learn more about the regional cheeses that underpin Rome’s best-loved dishes and experiment with tradition and innovation by tasting Rome’s vast selection of salamis and cured meats. We will sample a true Roman pasta dish, before finishing up with Coffee and Gelato.
Authentic Pizza Making Experience
What culinary tour of Rome would be complete without taking the opportunity to make your very own pizza to eat! This is so much more than your standard pizza-making class, as we take you to a traditional Italian kitchen where your private group will craft your own pizzas with the help of a local pizzaiolo. Bellissimo!
